Low Key vs. High Key

How Others view me vs. How I view myself

My first picture represents how others see me. In my photo, I showed how others see me as being sassy. I have been seen as sassy because I can be very opinionated and stand up  for things I believe in, instead of staying quiet. This perspective of myself is usually conveyed from others who do not know me personally. In my photo, I am rolling my eyes to represent, how people think I feel, annoyance towards others. However, this is not because I dislike others, its because I like to express my feelings and solve problems, instead of ignoring problems.

My second picture represents how I see myself. I see myself as happy, fun, and loving. I showed how I view myself by smiling and laughing at the camera. I also am really happy in the picture I can be both people from both pictures, however, I don't associate myself with only being sassy because I am a genuinely happy person.

These two photos represent two sides of who I am and also two different moods conveyed. The two moods that are conveyed are serious and dark in the low key photo. In the high key photo, the mood is upbeat, out going, and happy. From the high key photo, I conveyed a new perspective of my personality and who I am.

I liked completing the high key & low key assignment because I was able to receive a perspective from others. This also allowed others to see my point of view of myself. I liked that because it was more challenging and creative then previous assignments. I also liked how the photos were of us personally, instead of being behind the camera. I also liked the learning experience with photoshop as well.
